The Charlotte Music Awards showcases all aspects of music in the Carolinas. Our goal is to enhance the profile of the music community in the region and support local music and local artists. With such a large talent base in a region steeped in rich musical tradition, the Charlotte Music Awards hosts between eight to ten showcases in different genres for local residents, and bands from all over the region compete for top honors. The Charlotte Music Awards 2013 Americana/Bluegrass Showcase will be held on June 20th at Puckett's Farm Equipment, 2740 W. Sugar Creek Rd. Charlotte. This event features the best Americana and Bluegrass Bands from all over the Carolinas. The winner is eligible to proceed to the CMA Red Carpet event being held in November in Hollywood. The Southern Experience Band Wins The Charlotte Music Awards 2013 Country Showcase
Congratulations to the Bill Miller Band as the winner of the 2013 Charlotte Music Awards Blues Showcase at The Saloon at the NC Music Factory on Friday, April 12th. As winners, the band will be eligible to proceed to the Red Carpet Event at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in Los Angeles in November. . Thanks to all the nominees for outstanding performances, specifically, David Reavis, Ken Dukes, Boogie Children, and Cadillac Black . A special thanks to our esteemed judges: Mickey Floyd, John Martin and Harold Woodside as well as Terry Gage who was the emcee for the event. Congratulations to Marie Calabro for winning the CMA 2013 Folk Showcase held on Feb. 28 at Puckett’s Farm Equipment. This showcase also featured talented folk artists from all over the Carolinas, including Rob Lytle, Tim Murray, and Michael Spurlin. As the winner of this showcase, Marie will become eligible for our new Hollywood Red Carpet Affair, with details being announced shortly.
